Sorry, the hardware on your iPhone 7 Plus does not support the firmware and software in iOS 26.X.

You can’t. The iPhone 7 Plus will never run iOS 16.0, let alone 17.6.

You need a new phone.

You need an iPhone XR or XS (MAX). You can get iOS 18 on those devices.

It will not work on iPhone 8 (Plus) or iPhone X.

Not happening. When you didn’t get iOS 16 on your iPhone 7 Plus, that should have been a clue that you would not get later versions, either.

IF......an update is available for an iPhone 7 Plus, you will see it when you tap Settings > General > Software Update.

If you see a message that your software is up to date.....then you will know that you cannot update your iPhone 7 Plus......because no updates are available.

The Iphone 7 cannot be upgraded to IOS 17. Because the phone is too old. I would recommend trading in your phone for a newer one.
