Depending on the particular Brother model, you may not need the Brother Mobile Connect app, which is the app you are probably trying to download here. That app won’t work as far back as an iPhone 7 Plus.

Alternatively, the Brother iPrint and Scan app supports iOS 15 and later, and can potentially be used here.

You don't. An iPhone 7 Plus can not run iOS 16 or later. iOS 15 is the end of the line.

You don’t. You cannot update an iPhone 7 Plus to iOS 16 or higher. If iOS 15 is not good enough, it is time to purchase a new iPhone, preferably one that is compatible with iOS 18 and that will be compatible with iOS 26.

You need an iPhone XR or XS (MAX). You can get iOS 18 on those devices.

It will not work on iPhone 8 (Plus) or iPhone X.
