Unable to find Journal app for iPad in App Store

In WWDC2025 Apple said Journal will be available on iPadOS and macOS. I noticed that the App Store on my iPhone already says that Journal works on iOS 17.2 or later, and iPadOS 17.2 or later. That made me think it’s available for iPad now, but can’t find it in then App Store for iPad. So is it available there or not yet? The device support information is very misleading.

Journal is expected to launch on newest iPadOS and MacOS versions in September what Apple and Betas confirmed. Be patient

Apple have indicated that the Journal App for iPad will be released with iPadOS 26 - the production release being expected during September 2025.

While a Pubic Beta is expected to release in July, you would well advised to wait for the production release. Beta software is inherently unstable - with a strong likelihood of instability and/or data loss.

The App Store on my Apple Silicon Mac shows the Journal app as being available for iOS 17.2 and later, and iPadOS 17.2 and later.

While Apple Silicon Macs can run some iOS and iPadOS apps, Apple is not allowing either version of the Journal app to be installed on Apple Silicon Macs.

To clarify, this isn’t so much me being impatient (we’ve waited this long), but confused because of what the App Store says. Perhaps support and availability data for the store are separate?
