Search can't find apps installed on iPhone (iOS 18)

Dear Apple or community members, please support me in solving this issue:

iPhone 15 Pro Max

MU7E3AA/A

iOS 18.5

I used to search for apps using Spotlight, but currently this feature seems to work partially, and some apps with Cyrillic naming are not found using this search. This issue appeared since a month or two ago, as the search worked correctly in winter, but since I update my iPhone every time there is a new iOS update after one of these updates this function stopped working correctly.

For example searching for an app мой дом.ру - doesn't find the app even though it is installed as you can see on the next screenshot:

Another example:

But on some of the apps, it works correctly even when entering just the few first letters, the app is found perfectly fine as it used to be before:

Could you please fix this annoying issue as search is an essential feature which is used many times during the day because of the abundance of applications currently installed on my iPhone it is very handy I am sure not only for me, but for other users also.

I encountered this issue a few times with apps which naming is in Latin, but could not find any example to post right now.

Is the system language Russian or another Cyrillic-based language?

  • Go to Settings > General > Language & Region
  • Make sure Russian (or other appropriate language) is added (even if it's not the primary)
  • Reboot the phone after making this change
