iPhone 14 Pro Max brightness keeps adjusting itself

I have an iPhone 14 pro max, never had this problem before but as of today my brightness keeps adjusting itself. Auto-brightness is off, attention aware features is off, it’s not hot or overheating but keeps dimming and then going bright again. With control centre open I can see the brightness adjusting itself when I’m not pressing it and I want to know how to stop this.

Sounds like all of your settings are set correctly - have you tried restarting your phone since this started happening?
