Apple has never accepted the current models of iPhone for trade in.

Did you look around on eBay to get an idea of what iPhone 16s are selling for at the current time? A very quick check indicates that iPhone 16s are listed for sale in the range of $600-700. The actual price will depend on what a user is willing to pay. It's a guessing game......you may be offered substantially less.

Apple is not accepting iPhone 16s on trade.

That would be the best solution. I imagine you can wait about 3 months till the iPhone 17 is released.

If you sell a used phone, you will almost certainly get less than what you paid for it.

Why would anybody want to buy a used, current-model phone from you at full price if they could buy a new one from Apple?

A new iPhone 16 is being sold by Apple.com between $799 (128GB) and $1099 (512GB). Why would anybody buy a secondhand iPhone from a stranger for $1000?

iPhone 15 Pro Max is being traded in by Apple.com for $630.

And iPhone 15 for $400.

So I have to wait till Iphone 17 releases so 16 can be traded in?
