How do I switch between open apps on iPhone with a hardware keyboard connected via Bluetooth?

I currently have a need to type a lot on my iPhone, and I need to do it fast. Nothing beats the speed of a hardware keyboard. So, I bought the Logitech Keys-to-go 2, which is very comfortable to type with and connects via bluetooth.

Ideally, I’d like to be able to switch between open apps with a keyboard shortcut. The first thing I tried was Command+Tab since that would be the default shortcut on macOS and iPadOS, but on the iPhone it doesn’t seem to work.

I can use Command+Space to open the Spotlight search, which is convenient to find another app via the keyboard, but I can’t find a way to switch.

I tried to find a way to customise keyboard shortcuts under Settings, but I couldn’t find anything.

I am trying this with an iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.5.

Has anyone here ever tried this?

The shortcuts mentioned in the first link do not work on the iPhone. In that same discussion, they mention of the option of configuring accessibility features and “full keyboard access”, but that results in more than just having keyboard shortcuts enabled. It affects the UI in a way that shows blue borders on whichever control has focus at the time. It’s not a good experience for someone without special accessibility needs.

The second link is just a Google search, where I couldn’t find anything useful.
