Not receiving app notifications on my iPhone 13 mini

Following the last iPhone update, I was only able to see emails once I was in the app, I wasn’t getting notified that any were coming through. This has now resolved itself, but it’s now happening to most of my other apps. I have to be in the WhatsApp app to see that I’ve received messages for example. I haven’t changed any notification settings or altered any settings on my phone. I haven’t changed an iPhone 13 mini.

Do you have a focus mode activated on the phone? This can cause notifications not to display if one is activated and not set up properly.

Something else to try is toggling the notification settings off and on again per app in the settings app.

If these quick fixes don’t seem to work, and it’s definitely more of a last resort, but you may have to consider performing a restore on the phone.

There are two ways to do this, with and without needing to connect to a computer. The best way is connecting to a computer as this will ensure you get a fresh install on the phone.

Good luck, and I hope you manage to resolve your issue.
