I can’t mention people on my iOS 18.5 update and it keeps coming and disappearing. I’ve tried predictive text and doing everything goggle says but It doesn’t work. It’s like it comes back when it wants to and I don’t know how to fix it. Need help.

When mentioning on a note or message group, make the thing understand. For Abbie, just do Abbi or abb and it will recognize them.
I have changed people’s names. Shorted them. Some people have multiple names and I still can’t. Nothing on the internet people have said fixed worked and now I’m asking if maybe people know something new I may not have tried
Can you give me a number of how short?
I have funny names for people (ex president Obama) and it used to work and now will not. I have tried said persons real name ex (James who used to be President Obama) and it still will not work
