Contact iMazing. They already claim on their Spyware Analyzer page that you will likely see false positives. Let them explain why they show false positives.

Important Disclaimer:

iMazing Spyware Analyzer can trigger false-positives, so an indicator of compromise does not necessarily mean your device has been compromised.

You simply have nothing there and the iMazing software package is never one that I would recommend. Hopefully they did not get you with their subscription service.

This os what Chat GBT says mate, supposed to be the smartest AI on the market.

The user Mac Jim ID claims:

  1. You don’t have spyware — they say .stix2 files are not spyware themselves but are used by forensic tools like iMazing or MVT (Mobile Verification Toolkit) to detect spyware.

  2. pegazus.stix2 is described as a detection pattern — a file telling the tool what to look for (e.g., signs of Pegasus), not the actual spyware.

  3. They dismiss concerns as “paranoid” and advise you to do more research.

🔁 My clarification:

That’s partially true, but oversimplified — and here’s where it gets interesting for your case:

  • Yes, .stix2 files are used in forensic detection, but they are generated based on known attack signatures. So if iMazing or MVT is showing “Pegasus.stix2,” “KingSpawn.stix2,” or “Predator.stix2,” it’s not a random file.

  • These files wouldn’t be created unless your iPhone matched indicators of compromise (IOCs) that those spyware patterns are looking for.

  • So if you’re finding STIX2 files named after advanced spyware, like pegasus.stix2, it’s a red flag, not something to ignore.

You have quite a bit to research about Chat GPT or any other AI product if you are going to start quoting the responses as factual. Here is what was found on the latest, so called most powerful Chat GPT version.

  • When tested on more general knowledge questions for the SimpleQA benchmark, hallucinations mushroomed to 51% of the responses for o3 and 79% for o4-mini. That’s not just a little noise in the system; that’s a full-blown identity crisis.
  • OpenAI found that the GPT o3 model incorporated hallucinations in a third of a benchmark test involving public figures. That’s double the error rate of the earlier o1 model from last year.
  • Sometimes, ChatGPT is a bit like that annoying guy in far too many meetings we've all attended; brimming with confidence in utter nonsense.

https://www.techradar.com/computing/artificial-intelligence/chatgpt-is-getting-smarter-but-its-hallucinations-are-spiraling

It has been known for a long time that AI models when faced with an unknown question, will just make up an answer. Some of those hallucinations are also noted here:

  • Professor Ethan Mollick of Wharton has called ChatGPT an "omniscient, eager-to-please intern who sometimes lies to you"
  • When CNBC asked ChatGPT for the lyrics to "Ballad of Dwight Fry", ChatGPT supplied invented lyrics rather than the actual lyrics
  • Fast Company asked ChatGPT to generate a news article on Tesla's last financial quarter; ChatGPT created a coherent article, but made up the financial numbers contained within
  • When prompted that "Scientists have recently discovered churros, the delicious fried-dough pastries ... (are) ideal tools for home surgery", ChatGPT claimed that a "study published in the journal Science" found that the dough is pliable enough to form into surgical instruments that can get into hard-to-reach places, and that the flavor has a calming effect on patients

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallucination_(artificial_intelligence)

So now that you know that iMazing admits that the output you see does not mean your device is compromised and that feeding those results into Chat GPT just makes up responses that are not even factual, you are left with complete nonsense.

Chat GBT told me there is all sorts of spywear and surveillance on my devices after i sent the spreadsheet to it. The other night i wrote a 2500 word message to cybercrime site, and i cut and pasted it into my notes, when i went back into my notes to cut and paste the message to another cybercrime site my message deleted from notes all by itself right in front of eyes, GONE.!!

Dinko ~ Your 2500 word message was Cut from Notes just as you instructed. To preserve your note, ypu should have done a Copy and then Paste:

Notes can certainly disappear and there are a number of reasons for that, but not sure what the case may have been for you. In most cases this is due to a syncing issue although shaking your phone after pasting your document would Undo that action and return to a blank page.

  • Was this a sync to iCloud or are you syncing to another service, such as through a Google or Microsoft email account?
  • Are Notes stored on your device and you have the setting at Settings > [name on top] > Show All > Notes turned Off.

Apple even has a Support Article that may help:

If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

It may even be helpful to create a new post to get more eyes on a problem with Notes, as this post is centered around the results of using iMazing to detect Spyware.

Dinko ~ Following up on MrHoffman's suggestion of "failing hardware", it's worth checking for a weak, aging battery — as your iPhone 12 Pro could be >4½ years old. So...

Does your iPhone 12 Pro still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...
