I cannot find my Messages icon on my dock.

It seems that my icon for messages has disappeared from my dock.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

Open Messages. Once it's open, contro-click on it in the dock, select Options>Keep in Dock.

If you don't know how to find Messages, look in your application folder or press command-spacebar and start typing "messages" in the search box.
