so my iphone 5 wont go past the apple logo and it isnt in a boot loop, i have checked the battery and it was perfectly fine. the apple logo shows for 10 seconds and then powers off, i have tried to put it in recovery mode and restore it through itunes but no luck. it said an unknown error happened during the restore (error code -1) someone please help!!
That model is obsolete. It is no longer usable as a phone in most of the world.
The -1 error code during a restore indicates a critical hardware failure.
Recycle it.
What are you hoping to do with an iPhone 5? As a phone, it won't make or receive phone calls in most of the world. It's iOS version is so out of date that most modern apps will not run on it. Keep in mind that iPhone 5 in cell phone years is an antique. It was released in September 2012, a full 13 years ago. It is considered obsolete by Apple and no longer qualifies for any support.
You need to face reality and accept the best thing you can do with an iPhone 5 is recycle it responsibly.
