Third-party insurance options for M2 MacBook Pro

The device is over a year old, and the original warranty has expired by now.

At work, I accidentally knocked over a can of sugar-free Red Bull, and some of it splashed on the lower left-hand corner of the device. I quickly turned it over and then rushed to get some paper towels. I carefully removed the keycaps in the affected area and did not find any moisture or liquid, which was extremely relieving.

But I'm very concerned now, as that little accident could've cost me a lot of money! Does anyone know if there are any good third party insurance options?

I searched for some options, but there's an overwhelming amount of information. I have no idea where to begin, what companies are reputable, or if this kind of insurance even exists and is worth it. If you know anything, like this company offers good coverage, or try looking here, or this is what I use for insurance, please let me know!

you can sell it and buy a new one— typically you will always get more money selling it yourself.

Alternatively you trade it in ref: Apple Trade In - Apple

Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

I would always advise to get the AppleCare+ which adds 2 years to the limited 1-yr warranty.

After the 3 yrs, you will have the option to extend the warranty annually.

If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

You have a limited 60 days to purchase Apple Care+ after a new purchase...

if you had AppleCare+ on your new machine you can purchase new coverage within 30 days after your original AppleCare+ coverage ends. Extend your AppleCare+ coverage

Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it.

I plan to keep this machine as long as possible. Why get a new one when this one works perfectly fine? But when I do eventually get a new one, I'll be sure to add more protection. Though I've heard AppleCare doesn't cover liquid damage.

I'll look into homeowners' insurance and inland marine insurance. Thank you!
