How do I fix game and show video quality on my iPad?

I have a MacBook Air and a iPhone 15, both fairily new. I recently bought a iPad and noticed it didn’t have that same quality like my phone and MacBook does, I don’t know how to describe it. Seems like an older feel. I go on games such as Roblox and notice my quality on the game is not good. I’m wondering to fix this do I get a diffrent iPad? Becuase before getting my own iPad I used my friends and their roblox game quality was good. I want to watch shows and play games in good quality how do I fix this?

Hi! It sounds like you're experiencing lower graphics and video quality on your iPad compared to your iPhone and MacBook. That can definitely be frustrating, especially when you're used to a certain standard.

Here are a few things you can try before deciding if you need a different iPad:

1. Check Your iPad Model

Not all iPads have the same screen quality or performance. Some entry-level models may not support high-end graphics like the iPad Pro or iPad Air. You can check your model by going to Settings > General > About and looking at the Model Name. Compare that to your friend's iPad to see if there's a difference in specs.

2. Update iOS and Apps

Make sure your iPad and all your apps (like Roblox or streaming apps) are fully updated:

  • Go to Settings > General > Software Update

  • Also open the App Store and update your apps

3. Adjust In-Game Settings

In Roblox, try going into the settings menu (gear icon) and manually increasing the graphics quality. Sometimes it’s set to a lower level by default.

4. Check Display Settings

While iPads don’t have detailed resolution settings like computers, make sure Low Power Mode is off and True Tone/Night Shift aren’t altering the display color in a way that affects perceived quality.

5. Internet Connection

Sometimes the quality of games or video streaming depends on your Wi-Fi. A slow connection can cause lower quality graphics or video playback.

Perhaps you may need to identify which iPad models

those are compared to; so you can tell the better one.

I got the iPad Air (5th gen). You're right, they use different screen hardware, *****to check further details about it. The Air has a Liquid Retina display with True Tone and P3 wide color, but it doesn’t have ProMotion like the iPad Pro. The Pro models have a smoother 120Hz refresh, which is noticeable if you're drawing or doing fast scrolling. Are you using one for creative work?
