How do I fix persistent Dark Mode on iPhone 13 Pro, iOS18.5?

This issue has persisted through several software updates. I see others describing a very similar issue. I've tried to follow any suggestions that I've found here in the Community Forum, to no avail, including closing apps, resetting the phone (quick press Volume UP, quick press Volume down, hold button on right of phone 20 seconds until apple startup icon appears, etc.). Any other ideas?

Thank you. Looks like you have Classic Invert enabled. Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text size, and make sure “Smart Invert,” and “Classic Invert” are both off. Let us know if that fixed it or not.

Ok, please send a screenshot showing your device is in Dark Mode, and another screenshot showing that you have Dark Mode turned off. Make sure to omit personal info.

Individual apps cannot be toggled from light mode to dark mode within your iPhone settings. If that options is available, it will be somewhere inside the app itself. If it doesn’t work, you might want to take it up with the developer of the app.

Do you have any VPNs or Focuses turned on and in use?

I have a customized Wallpaper, a family photo, which is the one thing that is not appearing in Dark Mode. But within apps, even when I have the option within the app to switch Dark Mode off, it persists. Within Settings, where it is toggled off, it persists. I can't get it to go away...

Setting a Wallpaper to Dark Mode has a different procedure. From what I’ve noticed, you can only set a Home Screen wallpaper to Dark Mode, not the Lock Screen. Always On Display, which your iPhone model doesn’t support, would be an option you may be looking for. You can also choose to dim a wallpaper with a Focus enabled. And sometimes system appearance on your iPhone will override the apps appearance.

No VPNs or Focuses turned on or in use.

I'm not trying to toggle off individual app dark themes from within iPhone settings; I'm merely finding that despite have them toggled off within the app, dark mode still persists for that app, as well as everywhere else.

Here you can see my screenshot of Dark Mode toggled off, but the screenshot of it appears in Light Mode, as if internally the phone thinks it is in Light Mode while still displaying Dark Mode on my screen; the following photo shows what I was actually looking at when I took the screenshot.

I also took a screenshot of a Calendar page (the screenshot shows it in Light Mode), but I immediately took a photo showing that what I'm seeing is actually in Dark Mode.
