MacBook Pro Taking too long to install OS 15.5

I would force quit a shutdown and reboot as normal and see where you are.

Many times you find the update completed and all is well; a glitch.

You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.

Force Shut down your Mac.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac

if you need to try again run the update from a SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Login and try again.

i had the same issue when i updated to Sonoma, i just force shut down my Mac then, and restart, and everything was back to be normal.
