Unidentified €122.99 payment to Apple on Dept card

A request to my Dept card came in this more under Apple for €122.99, I checked my subscriptions and payment history via my Apple profile, but nothing out of the ordinary, but no sign of the €122.99 transaction. I have block to payments to Apple to prevent this happening again.

A request through where?

Where did you see this charge?

If this was only an email or text message indicating a charge, it's probably a scam, and not from Apple at all.

I would strongly advise against blocking real charges from Apple as that can leave your account in bad standing and restricted to access the iTunes and App Stores until whatever charge can actually be processed correctly.

It's very very unlikely a random un-approved charge will appear from Apple as the system has a ton of protections and verifications in place to avoid unintended charges. In the vast majority of cases we've seen here, emails and text messages with purported charges for such amounts have been in 99% of cases a scam from other parties looking like it came from Apple, and trying to get you to call a number and give out your account or credit card details.

Apple will never send emails or text messages regarding any possible charges.

Charges from Apple either go through or not there is no pre-authorization phase or a charge confirmation etc...

When a charge happens it's immediately added to your account.

You can verify any Apple charges by following the steps in the support document linked below.

Are you the Family Organizer in a Family sharing group? If so, the charge may have been started by another member of the group, but still charged to you as the organizer, in which case the charge description would appear on their accounts. To see family members' purchases, sign in, in the link above, and then tap or click the Apple Account button to choose a family member.
