Auto-Lock feature is not working on iPhone 15 Pro Max when on charge after iOS 18 update

My iPhone 15 Pro Max is on iOS 18.5. It seems that ever since I've updated the iOS, the "auto-lock" feature does not work while on any charger, either MagSafe or plug in. When/If I do a hard restart of the phone it works for a while, but eventually reverts to staying on. I have it set to 30 seconds and have the Always On Display off, as well. I assume this is an 18.5 bug...but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Does the screen stay on whatever it was you left it on? Or does it change to the standby screen?

My thought as well. Perhaps the Author should take a look at this --> Use StandBy to view information at a distance while iPhone is charging - Apple Support
