Does switching Wi-Fi on Apple TV change my home hub or notifications?

Hello,

i am planning on buyin Apple TV, which i want to add to my home app. I move from my home on monthly basis for weekends so i want to grab AppleTV as streaming box. I have my homekit set up in my main home and i use Homepod mini as my hub, which stays home and doesnt move.

If i move and connect it to different wifi for watching movies etc (without setting up another home), will it affect my home setup when i get back and reconnect AppleTV to my home wifi again?

Will my home temporarily switch to my Homapod as a hub and allow me to control and get notifications from my home for that weekend anyway?

Thank you for your answers.

Yes, one of the standby hubs will take over from the previously connected home hub, when that is not available for any reason, so that HomeKit will keep working as before, if at all possible.

I think you’ll be alright for this, but it has been over a year since I did take my Apple TV box with me on a trip, so the memory is a bit hazy. HomeKit relies on the Home settings, and thus the home network. A different network would never conflict with the previously used Home.
