RCS won’t activate on my iPhone with iOS 18.5

Hi! First time having iOS since early 2000s. Anyway! My RCS was working just fine until today. Everything is SMS. I’ve restarted, tried turning off everything then back on, and even ejected the sim for a few minutes then put it back in. It’s stuck on RCS is activating. Anyone else have this issue before or is it something I need to talk with my provider? Thank you so much! Just trying to make sure I’m not going insane or anything is all.
