iphone 14 pro esim issue

After updating to iOS 26.0.1 my Iphone 14 PRO(US version with only esim) started to randomly throw esim errors and now esim completely stopped working. Tried all the tricks with switching airplane mode on and off, reseting network settings.

Even got a new esim QR from the operator.

Unfortunately I''m not even able to delete the old esim, when I click delete esim, nothing happens and it remains there.

When I'm trying to add new sim, first it throws an error and when I retry it's just spoinning the wheel forever and nothing happens.

Anyone have similar issues, any other tips on what to do to make it work? Perhaps I should try to restore previous version of th iOS? Is that even possible?

I don't want to do a full factory reset not to loose my data.

I’ve seen a few users face this after the iOS 26.0.1 update. Try these steps before doing a full reset:

  1. Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset All Settings (this won’t delete your data).

  2. Then restart your phone and try deleting the old eSIM again.

  3. If it still doesn’t work, connect your iPhone to a computer and use Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows) to reinstall iOS — not downgrade, just reinstall the current version. This often fixes corrupted system files.

  4. If you still get the error, contact your carrier and ask them to “unassign” your previous eSIM from their system — sometimes it stays linked on their side.

Downgrading iOS isn’t officially supported by Apple once the signing window closes, so reinstalling is safer.
