Incorrect AppleCare & warranty expiration date for new AirPods Pro (2nd generation)

I hate to break it to you, but they are not an authorize Apple reseller.

The AirPods you purchased are gray market. The warranty clock started ticking when they were originally sold by Apple or an authorized retailer. The warranty expiration date you found when you checked is almost certainly correct. They don't have any warranty left and are not eligible for AppleCare.

Exactly where did you purchase them? What retailer in what country?

There is a very real possibility that you purchased gray market or used AirPods for which the warranty is already expired.
