How to identify which backup is forwhich device

My son’s iPad needs a replacement. The screen will not come on and when I connect it to my computer (MacBook Air, Sequoia 15.5) it does not show in the Finder, so I cannot back it up and I cannot see how much storage he is using, meaning I cannot tell how much storage I should order for the replacement. The iPad used to be mine and I added storage I thought I would need but I would probably not have ordered for him.

I figured, since I back up the iPad to my Mac, I could check the size of the backup. But there are several backups since I use the computer to backup each phone and iPad in the house. The backups are given cryptic names that have nothing to do with the devices as far as I can tell.

Is there any way to identify which backup folder is for which device?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17
