Netflix 'Network Error' and 'Update Required' on iPhone 6 with iOS 12.5.7

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Netflix on my iPhone 6 (iOS 12.5.7) for a long time, and it used to work fine. But recently, the app just gets stuck on the loading screen or gives a “Network Error”, even though my internet connection is okay. I also tried using Safari, but Netflix says “Update Required” and won’t let me log in.

I want to ask:

Did Netflix officially stop supporting older versions of their app for iOS 12?

Or is this a bug, server block, or something that can be fixed?

Has anyone here experienced the same issue — or found a workaround that still works for Netflix on older iPhones?

Any help or explanation would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know when exactly Netflix stopped working on older devices like the iPhone 6?

Because I was still able to use it just recently — the last time I used it, it was working fine.

Then just today, it suddenly stopped. At first, I was still logged in but it got stuck on the loading screen even though my internet connection was okay.

So I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but now when I log in, it just shows “Network Error.”

This really just started happening today.
