So I have an issue where after a snapchat call the homescreen becomes darker and other elements not, only homescreen not other elements and not screen brightness or dark mode icons. I had this issue twice today and to fix it you have to restart device is it possible to avoid this bug?

That’s something you would have to ask Snap. It sounds like they are not resetting brightness when exiting the app.
How are you exiting? Do you swipe up from the bottom just a little to go back to the Home screen, or do you swipe up and pause to open the App Switcher, then swipe up on the Snapchat screen image? If the latter, you are killing the app before it has a chance to reset screen brightness.
An app takes control of the iPhone when running. It is supposed to save the state the phone (brightness and sound level) at the time it is launched, then restore brightness and sound level when it you exit it normally, directly to the Home screen. If you actually kill the app from the app switcher by swiping it up that stops it instantly, giving it no chance to restore the settings that it overrode.
I can go to the home screen and app switcher except the home screen background is dark and can't control it. And it dosent look like to be a snapchat issue
