How to fix iPhone 16e call audio glitches on 5G?

I am following up on a previous post. I have been experiencing serious audio glitches with the cellular network on my new iPhone 16e. Apple has checked out the phone and says it is OK and that this is a wireless network issue. The wireless carrier says that there is something wrong with my specific iPhone and that Apple will never admit it or do a recall (they indicated only a recall would allow them to give me a new one). Now the carrier has admitted for the second time that wireless service in my home is very bad and are pressuring me to reset my iPhone 16e so that for phone service it will only use 4G/LTE (i.e. shut off 5G even when it is available). I have stalled -- quite overwhelmed right now. Any advice? Anyone else doing this? Anyone else experiencing voice garbling/dropped calls etc. I am also being pressured by them to continue to just use wifi calling, which I find unacceptable and have told them so.

Well, let's see. Apple says it is a carrier problem and the carrier says it is an Apple problem.

And yet, your carrier is admitting that you have a very poor quality signal at your house and they are recommending...."pressuring"....you to use 4G/LTE.

I'm not sure how they can justify saying that you have an Apple problem.

If there were a confirmed 5G problem with the iPhone 16e, this support site would be flooded with posts from other users. It's not.

So, you have 2 options:

1) Change your iPhone over to 4G/LTE to see how it works that way. If service is good, then Wi-Fi Calling will also be good because you will be using a much stronger 4G/LTE signal.

2) If 4G/LTE still does not do the job, change carriers. Do some checking to find out which carrier is providing a high quality cellular signal in your area. 5G is nice, but 4G/LTE has been flawless from my carrier.....and I rarely have more than 2 "bars" on the signal strength display.

Thank you Bob. It's such a new phone and I've never had issues with Apple products before (or my previous carrier). I may do the research even after I decide to switch off the 5G. One of the carrier's techs let slip that there is a carrier with a 5G tower close to me. I will no longer trust the coverage maps or the IMEI checkers for compatibility. I'm hoping someone will let me do a trial.
