my phone says my number is registered to my Apple account but not my phone and will expire in 4 days!! help

Watch out for a scam.
Contact your carrier to verify that your phone has been set up correctly with your phone number.
What did your carrier say when you contacted them to verify that the correct number is assigned to your phone?
Exactly how does your phone “say” this? Error message?
It’s been working fine since I got the new phone a couple months ago, now this has come up. Definitely not a scam as the message is in my messages app section in settings

My phone actually works fine. I can call and text from it fine? It says it will expire in 4 days? I bought my phone as a stand alone phone and the SIM card separately
17 years in support with iPhones and I've never seen a message like this. Watch to see what happens in 4-5 days.
Perhaps another user can help.
