There really isn't any way to do this other than to scroll back. If you have an idea about the subject of the message, you can try searching for a word you think you may be in the message.


There is no search by date function.

Hi! If you're trying to search for a specific date like 'July 4' or '07/04/2025' in the messages app on iPhone, here's what to try:


1 Open the Messages app.


2 Then swipe down slightly to reveal the search bar at the top


3 Then type the exact date format as it appeared in the message.


4 Then tap of the matching result to jump into that part of the conversation.
