This is normal? Payment & $50 charge after clicking on appnebula.co email 🤔
A few days ago I bought access to some content connected to the Nebula astrology app, but the whole payment process didn’t go through Apple at all 🤨 Instead, it happened via a checkout page on a site I landed on, I think it was, which looked like a regular offer page. At first, I didn’t think twice about it, it just seemed like part of their system
But then… something weird happened 😟 After the payment went through, I needed help so I clicked on the support email link they provided. No big deal, just wanted to ask a quick question. And THEN out of nowhere I noticed a separate $50 charge on my account 🫤 No confirmation screen, no "Are you sure?", it just… happened
I honestly don’t know what triggered it 😕 maybe something in the link, maybe a mistake? Either way it didn’t feel right. And it made me wonder, I always thought all digital purchases had to be handled through Apple’s in-app system. Is it normal for an app-related service to charge externally like this?
Just trying to understand what happened and whether others have seen this sort of thing too. Would really appreciate any insight or advice
