How to fix freezing issues on Apple TV+ app easily?

The app is pre-installed on my Panasonic TV. I have recently taken out a trial subscription and the content is pretty good. However, the app freezes at random and I have to restart the program and try to fast forward to where I left off.

I have looked for different settings or ways to update the app but I can’t seem to figure out the problem.

Panasonic has been using a variety of smart TV system software platforms over the years and across models. Do you know if the platform on your TV is ‘Android TV’ or perhaps something else? Does this OS have a version number? Can you check if there are updates available? Please install any TV system software updates, as that may bring app updates as well, as new app versions may require the latest OS version.


Separate from the above, app freezes might be caused by network congestion. If you can, verify the bandwidth that the TV is able to get. Try Speedtest, if the TV has access to their app or to a browser. Or something similar that can produce insightful parameters on this. The Apple TV app should be happy with 25 Mbps or more (for 4K HDR content).
