Weather, Reminders, Calendar on iPhone repeatedly asking for location permission

I’ve had the location privacy settings on my iPhone 14 Pro (updated to latest iOS) set the way they are for years. Suddenly within the last week, the iPhone Weather app, Reminders app, and Calendar app constantly ask me again and again to allow location. This happens even after checking my settings to see they’re the way I want them, and multiple reboots of the iPhone, and on wifi networks as well as mobile data (5G or LTE).

Any way to stop this or any suggestions? It does not happen on my iPad. I do have an Apple Watch. That is also updated.

Hey there! Sorry about the issue, yes there is a way to stop this. Under each app in settings all you have to do is turn off the notification/location!

Settings App -> Weather App or Calendar app -> Notifications-> Toggle Off

I hope this fixes your issue!

Thanks but I don’t think this is it. Reminders just asked me to allow location. The settings were already set to allowing location. That seems to be the issue: even with settings configured to allow location always or while using the app, it’s still asking over and over again.

And now the weather widget is saying location access needed, even though location for weather was already set to Always and I allowed location multiple times for the widget.
