Connection not private error on iPad Pro after iOS 17.7.8 update

I just updated my iPad Pro 10 inch to 17.7.8 and now I’m getting connection not private on most websites. I have used safari and google but they are both the same. Also I got some popup when I was browsing my settings about can’t connect to caddav.express.yahoo.com or something like that. Is there a way to downgrade or upgrade further since it says my iPad is up to date. Does the iPad have a virus or something ?? Please help my iPad is useless now. I don’t want to hard reset since it has so much on it.

Ok so I managed to fix it with some help from ChatGPT. Tried a few things but what worked was manually setting the time and date to something in the future. Shutdown and restart then turning on the auto time update and shutdown and restart.. all good again. Hope this helps someone else

How do I get some real time support for this. It is urgent ?

This is a user-to-user technical community. Contributors here are all end-users, just like you. Other than the site Moderators, Apple neither monitors nor participates within this Community. As such, any questions or comments here will not be seen by Apple Support.

While many contributors here offer help and useful guidance, you will typically receive a reply when your question is seen by someone that can offer advice. This is not a real-time platform; at best, if someone happens to be reading/monitoring a sub-forum, replies may be swift; at other times, replies may be slower.

If you don't see a quick reply - and need help urgently - you might be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to offer assistance. While walk-in support is available, if your issue is complex or requires diagnostic help, making an appointment prior to your visit is recommended:

ChatGPT and other AI tools can sometimes be helpful - but should be used with caution. Information from these sources can be unreliable, misleading, or even downright wrong. Suggestions and guidance are probabilistic, not deterministic - and may be derived from poor datasets.
