How do I download or backup music from my iPad?

Years ago I uploaded some music from old vinyl records to my pc, then used iTunes to listen and then uploaded them to my iPad. Since that time, My pc had died, the the songs are still on my iPad, but they ipad is slowly becoming less functional. The only place I can find the music is on this iPad. Is there any way to download or backup the music so that I can have it after this iPad goes?

Nothing native. But you can use third party apps like iMazing and iExplorer to extract the music onto another computer and recreate the iTunes library. Then you can make sure you back them up to an external drive for safe keeping.
