Previously Purchased Mac App Not Appearing on Another Mac

I recently purchased the app Klack ($4.99) from the Mac App Store on my primary Mac. I'm signed in with the same Apple ID on a second Mac, but the app isn't showing up under "Purchased" in the App Store, and I can't re-download it without being prompted to pay again.

I've verified that:

  • Both Macs are signed into the same Apple ID.
  • Purchase history shows Klack was bought.

Is there a reason it wouldn’t be available to redownload on the second Mac? Any help would be appreciated!

Go to  > System Settings > [name on top] > Media & Purchases on both Macs. Are you seeing the same Apple Account listed there? It is possible to be signed into the same Apple Account for iCloud and have a different one for Media & Purchases.

The only time I have seen that is when a developer removes the app from the store, then adds it again using a slightly different name. That does not appear to be the issue with the Klack app as it has been around for a long time from a respectable developer with very good reviews.

Sorry, I don't have any other explanation what could be causing the problem. It may be best to contact Apple directly where they may be able to find the issue remotely.
