Register my old version go GarageBand in my Purchases in order to share with a newer refurbished Mac

In the 30 years I've been using Macs, registering GarageBand has something I've never really thought was necessary. I've just bought a refurbished Late 2015 27" iMac and can't open GarageBand because it's not in my App Store purchases. When I open GarageBand tab on my older Mac, there's the option to "Register GarageBand", however it links directly to the Apple Business Register which seems totally weird. Can anyone help/advise me of a way to Register a program I've been using for years? Regards, Graeme

Do you have access to a new Mac at all (one running Ventura or Sonoma)?

I had a similar issue to you when I rebuilt my MacPro (a 2013 model) and realised that GarageBand was not in my list of downloaded apps on the App Store.

I have access to a new MacPro through work, so temporarily created another user account on it linked to my personal iCloud account (separate from my employer/work iCloud account). Then logged into that, opened up the App Store and downloaded GarageBand.

Once done, I could then log back in on my old MacBook and in the Apps Store I could see GarageBand. It was able to download the older version (as I am running BigSur).

Once done I was able to remove the personal user account from my work device.

So If you have access to a newer device (friend/family/employer) this may be the best and quickest way to get GarageBand available in your cloud download account.
