Up through the iPhone 14, the battery was designed to go up to 500 Charge Cycles before it reached 80% Health.

That works out out to an average of about 1% decline for every 25 Charge Cycles.

Another way to say the same thing is that Battery Health....on average....declines about 1% for every month of operation.

Starting with the iPhone 15, the battery will go up to 1,000 Charge Cycles before it reaches 80% Health. That works out to an average of about a 1% decline for every 50 Charge Cycles.

Another way to say the same thing......Battery Health will decline....on average....about .5% per month.

At that many cycles, I would not expect Health to be over 80. Yours is so high after that many cycles that I suspect an hardware error.

Have you restarted the phone recently? If not, see if that changes the number.

Is this the original battery that shipped with the phone or an aftermarket replacement? If the latter, all bets are off. Most are rubbish.

Apple says that an iPhone 15 shouldn't dip to 80% until about 1000 cycles. The formula is generally 1% for every 50 cycles. So 1000/50 = 20. So yes, at 711 cycles the battery is certainly doing better than expected, but I wouldn't necessarily assume there's an issue with the battery.

I think we all admit this is unusually high for a phone which has been through 711 cycles. Bob Timmons post above is correct in that it would be more normal for the battery health to be closer to 86% by now.

Apple changed how the cycle count affects battery health when iPhone 15 was released. So time will tell how well the authors battery continues to degrade over time.

my phone is completely new so I have never changed the battery. But I must have a power bank with me because this phone drains battery so fast that I often start to feel annoyed 🥲

It's hardly completely new after 711 cycles. But it is easy to determine what is using your battery the most, by opening Settings > Battery and it will populate below with what is using your battery the most. I'd also recommend you do a forced restart, which often stops things which shouldn't be running in the background from running.
