Is the Total Drive add-on necessary?

You might start by explaining what Total Drive is. When I do a search, I get two primary hits. It's either driving school management software or a cloud storage service. I suspect if you run a driving school or are using Total Drive's service, you'll need the software. If you're not doing either of those things, no, you don't need it.

If you are referring to the cloud storage service, then I will come out and say it. Yes, it is an unnecessary add on. You are better off sticking with iCloud and spending your money there for the integrated features that it offers instead of paying for a third party service.
