How do I restore whatsapp messages to my previously lost iphone X, from temporary replacement android, without resetting my iphone and losing data?

I lost my iphone X, and bought a cheap replacement Android while I waited for my phone to be found and returned to me. The iPhone X has now been found and returned, which is great. However, it doesn't seem possible to transfer the whatsapp messages from the temporary replacement Android to the old recovered iPhone, without resetting the iPhone and losing all my old data. When resetting the phone to use Move to IOS app, this requires you to restore data from Android when setting up, however, this would prevent me from restoring data during intial setup from the iCloud backup.
