Based on your experience, apparently not.

Probably has to do with the fact when you switch to Full Screen a new space/desktop is created.

See: System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts… > Windows.

Just to add, when an app is switched to Full Screen, it occupies a space all its own. So there is nothing to tile with.
