1st gen AirPods battery drains instantly

Yeah; replace them with a newer or new set.

Getting to another country or organizing shipping and repairing and the risk involved is going to cost as much or probably more than the difference between repair and replacement.

Biggest issue with buying where there are no authorized resellers is the legions of counterfeits available.

Battery replacement is USD$49, with prices elsewhere listed in the link I’d provided earlier.

Hmmm. That might become a challenge since there are no authorized locations around. I know this isn’t great news, but I would upgrade to a new pair simply because you can’t go to Apple. You could chance it with a 3rd party place but they can be pretty dicey. Also, a 3rd party repair would not give you a new set of AirPods, they would haphazardly open them up and make solders to s new battery. At the end of the day, whatever you feel comfortable and what makes you happy is the best choice. I hope my opinion helps. 😊

B. Try the Following Tasks:

• Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

• Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

• Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.
