How do I sync iCloud contacts to Android phone app

I have been using SmoothSync to sync Contacts, Tasks and Calendars (8 of them) since I first got iCloud in 2015. It stopped working 7/6/2025. I don't know if Apple killed it, or if the Android app has been disabled, but it's very annoying, and it's making my life extremely difficult.

I am looking for an Android app to replace SmoothSync.

I do not want to sync through Google. That's why I was syncing directly with iCloud.

I do not want an iPhone. That's why I've had an Android since 2010.

My other app specific passwords are all working, so I think it's a depreciated SmoothSync.

This war between Apple and Google is frustrating and makes life so difficult for consumers. Instead of purposefully blocking each other's tech, wouldn't it be a lovely world if they worked together?

Just in case someone else has used Apple calendars since 1995 and hates GCal: I found a series of apps that will sync some of your iCloud content with your native Android calendar and contacts.

Note: both of these are CalDav or CardDav syncs, so if you are good at it, you can do this yourself.

Sync for iCloud: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.granita.caldavsync. syncs Calendars very nicely

Sync Cloud for Contacts: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.granita.contacticloudsync. syncs contacts, a little weirdly, but directly into a native contact list on the Android.

Both of these require an app specific password despite the instructions that say you can set it up during installation. Not. Very oddly, they both apps are working off the ASP I set up for SmoothSync in 2019. 2 different apps, both running on the same ASP. It works.

Notes: still no sync. And Reminders/Tasks: no sync. I'm using Zoho Notes & Microsoft ToDo.

There is one more app that will basically re-create the iCloud app experience on your Android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appcollection.isyncpremium&hl=en_US

Since I never liked the iCloud interface, I'm not using it. But, it will sync Notes and Reminders to your Android.
