My iPhone 16 is not turning on after using someone's charger

I borrowed someone’s charger and used it for my iPhone 16 and now it won’t even turn on. There was also a notification that said this battery is unrecognized before it stopped working

My iPhone 15 plus max stopped charging and won't turn on it happened last night My battery was low last night so I plugged it in when I went to bed. I woke up 2 hours later to find that my phone is black and will not turn on and have tried charging it with different chargers that usually work. and different outlets in the house. Still will not turn on and screen still black!

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store.

That's a hardware problem.

There's a good chance it was damaged by the charger you used.
