CAC Reader not Recognized, Macbook Pro M1, SCR3310

Hello all!

I am running into a peculiar problem with my CAC reader and was looking for some help as I have exhausted my ability to debug further. Last week, my CAC reader became unresponsive with my Macbook when using it while working. I use an Insignia USB-C to USB-A connector to plug it directly into my Macbook and have used this since 2020 with no issue until now. I have tried restarting, updating firmware and to the latest version of Sequoia, redownloaded and allowed all DoD certs and root certs, ran commands through Terminal to re-enable the reader, checked the power and connection of the USB ports I am using I use my personal computer in my office and connect it through a Dynabook USB-C Dock for internet connection and to another monitor. I tested the reader directly on the dynabook and it is not recognized in the system report either. The USB-C to A adapter is recognized, so I know if has to deal with the reader itself. The reader is also not recognized by Smart Card Utility either. Additionally, I have disconnected from all other sources and tested to see if there was interference from the LAN network I was using but it has also not been effective.

If you all could help me find a solution to get it recognized again I would be so grateful!!
