Dictation Fails to Capitalize Sentences Properly in iOS 18.5
Dear Apple Team,
I'm writing to express frustration with a basic functionality issue that has persisted across recent iOS updates -- specifically with voice dictation and capitalization.
As of iOS 18.5 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, the system consistently fails to recognize the "All caps" or "Caps on/off" voice commands, even in Apple's own apps like Notes and Messages. This makes it impossible to dictate a full sentence in ALL CAPS, which used to work in earlier versions of iOS.
For users who rely on voice-to-text for accessibility, efficiency, or convenience, this is a serious limitation -- and a step backward.
While Apple continues to promote creativity, AI enhancements, and sleek hardware features, I urge your team to prioritize fixing foundational tools like dictation. Flashy innovations are great -- but not at the expense of core functionality.
Please consider addressing this in an upcoming update. We simply want the tools we already have to work -- reliably and intuitively.
Kind regards,
Fay Kelley
