How do i use my iPad as a samsung DeX display?

So, i once in my life tested samsung dex on someones tv (cuz mine is from 2011) and it was awsome. I have an iPad. And instead of a tv, i use my iPad as a display instead. Can i? Before anyone screams at me „wE aRe NoT hElPiNg AnDrOiD uSeRs wItH oUr pReCiOus ApPlE PrOdUcTs“, i have an iPad. Ok?

jokes aside, if anyone can help me, thank you.

iPad doesn't natively accept direct video input as a display device - and as such your Samsung's DeX mode won't be usable with iPad.

That said, there are third-party solutions for iPad which may be usable for your application - such as airsquirrels Reflector4:

Hard to say. What does DeX require from a display?

I doubt the iPad can be used as it's not just a display. There is no real way to feed a video input to the iPad directly.

Some Apps out there claim to support video in over an HDMI dongle, and may be able to be used with DeX, but it's hard to say.

Its less we don't want to help, and more, unless someone has actually done it, its unlikely anyone here would even know if its possible.

This is something you'll need to research outside of forums as its very specific combination of devices and a specific function.

Also, anything DeX can do, I'm pretty sure, the iPad can already do on its own.
