Microsoft OneDrive App for iPadOS & iOS (2025) - Drag-&-Drop Function NOT Working

Hi all,

I’ve raised this matter to Microsoft OneDrive Support Team for the last 1 year.

Till the current OneDrive App Version 16.18.3 (24/Jul/2025), the “Drag-&-Drop Function”, the most basic function for touch devices is not working. Appended below is the reply email from One Drive Support Team.

With the OneDrive App installed on your iPad (the App providing integration with your iPad), you can access OneDrive and manage your stored files and data using either the iPad's native Files App - or a third-party File Manager App - where drag-and-drop are fully supported.

From the sidebar of your open Files App, expand the Locations list where you will find OneDrive:

As such, if you are reliant upon (or prefer to use) drag-and-drop instead of copy-and-paste functions, you can still do so without issue. When using your iPad Pro's Split View or Stage Manager modes, you can have multiple App windows visible at the same time, this making drag-and-drop very easy to achieve.
