how do i permanently delete music from my settings?

every time i go to delete mass amounts of music out of my Apple Music library from Settings, it reappears within a few days, still taking up storage, even if the music doesn’t appear in my library on the Apple Music app.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 18

Yeah, that sounds like your iCloud Music Library is just re-syncing everything. Try this:

  • Go to Settings > Music and turn Sync Library off

  • Then go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Music, tap Edit, and delete everything there

  • Once that’s done, you can turn Sync Library back on if you still want it

  • After that, open the Music app and redownload only what you actually want

That should stop the deleted stuff from coming back. Hope it helps.
