Deleted Apple Music repopulates on iPhone after 24 hours

After I have deleted most music from Apple Music on my iPhone to save on storage after about 24hrs it repopulates my iPhone and I have to delete them all again. Why?

If Sync Library is on, Apple will keep re-downloading tracks it thinks you want, especially if you’ve added them to your library, not just downloaded them. It’s dumb, but it treats deletions like temporary.

Try checking Settings > Music and turn off Automatic Downloads, and make sure Optimize Storage is on. Worst case, turning off Sync Library will stop it completely, but that also means your library won’t stay in sync across devices.
