Unable to update iPhone 14 Pro software due to storage issue

Hi my daughter needs to get latest software and she cannot upgrade as she does not have the storage. We deleted 100’s of photos and videos, off loaded and deleted the apps and it did nothing. No movement at all and she can’t use her phone. Any advice? :)

Photos eat up a lot of storage, but when you delete them, they actually go into the Recently Deleted folder, where they stay for 30 days to give you the option to restore them if you want. You need to open the Photos App and look for Recently deleted, and delete them there. But be advised, if she syncs with iCloud, the photos will be removed from not only her iPhone, but iCloud as well. Can she afford to lose all of her photos permanently?

Clearly, the phone your daughter uses doesn't meet her storage needs. Once purchased, there is no way to add memory, so the next time you buy her an iPhone, make sure you buy one with enough memory.
