after you've setup your iPhone as new and you get into your iPhone do u automatically receive a message from apple id with your 2 factor code

If you don’t have your old and still-working phone alongside during setup, you’ll NEED the 2FA code to setup your new / replacement phone.
The code can be obtained from ANY other trusted device on your same Apple Account.
Alternatively, it can be received by Voice or SMS text to your choice of any one of your pre-designated Trusted Numbers.
